What is a Resilience?

It is the capacity of a community or environment to anticipate and manage hazardous climate events, and to recover and transform after the shocks that follow, with minimal damage to social well-being, economic activity and the environment.

Examples of building resilience in a community include long-term planning, early warning systems, training for new skills, diversifying household income sources, strengthening nature-based solutions and building effective community response and recovery capacities.
