What is a Biogas energy?
Biogas is a combustible gas produced by the breakdown of organic matter by different groups of microorganisms under a constant temperature in the absence of oxygen. The natural production of biogas is an important part of the biogeochemical carbon cycle. Methanogens (methane-producing bacteria) are the last link in the chain of microorganisms that break down organic matter and release decomposed products into the environment. This process produces biogas, a renewable energy source.
