What is a Geothermal Energy?
The word geothermal is a term formed by the combination of the English words “geo: earth” and “thermal: heat”. The Turkish equivalent of the word geothermal can be expressed as “earth heat”. In the scientific and technical sense; hot water, steam and dry steam formed by the storage of heat energy accumulated in the rocks deep in the ground, carried by fluids and stored in reservoirs are called geothermal resources.
